REVIEW - Origins 'High Potency Night-A-Mins' Cream

Regular readers will be aware that I'm a bit of a skin care sinner...Soap, hot water, job done! I have improved though - lets forget the most recent 2 weeks of freshers and only using baby wipes to cleanse - and gradually cream cleansers toners and even this Origins night cream have found their way into my usual daily routine...

Origins 'High Potency Night-A-Mins' cream aims to renew, refresh and replenish dull, tired complexions using a combinations of 'time released replenishers', vitamins C, E and H, minerals and moisture replenishers. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect of 'Night-A-Mins', but I liked that it wasn't promising miracles (as many products do) or baffling me with science.

As soon as you open the sturdy glass pot and remove the plastic Origins seal, you will be greeted by the most incredible scent! To me, Night-A-Mins smells like orange sherbet, zingy, clean and strangely calming...I admit to having occasionally just sat sniffing at it quite happily! The cream itself is beautifully smooth, thick and luxurious with a slight slip to the texture. At first it felt fairly greasy to apply (like a cleansing balm) and I worried about it transferring to my pillow cases as I slept, however, Night-A-Mins absorbs so quickly that this hasn't been an issue at all.

So, what about the results? To me, they are minimal. Hey, I did say Origins weren't promising miracles with this one! I've been using this each night for just over a month and although my skin does feel soft and refreshed, the difference definitely isn't worth the price tag. Night-A-Mins has, however, done away with my dry patches and I shall continue to use it through the colder months for a bit of night time pampering.

£32 for 50ml of product. Available online, at Boots, House of Fraser and John Lewis stores.
