Thursday: NE Minneapolis Jewelry Night Out
What:
It’s obvious that we at l’étoile love both art and jewelry. Lucky for us, the NE Arts District is combining them at this month's edition of First Thursday! As part of American Craft Week, the Casket Arts and Northrup King buildings have teamed up to showcase some of the best art jewelers that Minneapolis has to offer. In the Casket Building you can expect tons of artsy jewels and gems from Tasha Rae Jewelry, silver pieces from Marisa Martinez, modern metallic ware from Sarah Michaela Designs, and modern sculptural pieces by silvercocoon. Plus, the Northrup Building will be hosting even more jewelry from the likes of Betty Jaeger, Emily Johnson, Susan Frerichs and tons of other locals. Thursday-Saturday: W7 Social at Pilney Building
What:
This weekend, the artist collective W7 are bringing together local fashion, independent art and design, and tons of other pretty things to kick off fall right. The historic Pilsney Building will serve as a gallery as well as a gathering space for tons of art enthusiasts this Friday through Saturday. Now is your chance to peruse collections from dapper gentleman-wear by Freedom From Doubt, to custom crocheted goodness from Attagirl by Kedrin, to cutesy totes and purses from Louise Bags and Totes. Thursday-Saturday: Thymes Warehouse Sale
What:
The good-smelling gurus from Thymes are at it again with their annual three-day warehouse sale! It’s time to find your fragrance amidst their giant collection of yummy-smelling body lotions, shampoos, soaps, candles, diffusers, mists and tons more for bath, body and home. -Lauren Gantner

Friday-Sunday: Fall Lowertown Art Crawl
What:
Head to St. Paul’s bustling Lowertown Arts District this weekend for its annual fall art crawl. The district's various studios, warehouses, art lofts, galleries will host open studios, art openings and other cool events - like the pretty guitar pickings of local folk musicians and even a performance from a Laptop Marching Band. We suggest hitting up Kara Hendershot's opening at her Northern Warehouse studio (#516) for her latest batch of colorful paintings, illustrations and t-shirt designs; the studio of artits Lauryn Buda and Genevieve Mariani at The Tilsner; and the "Mad Science" opening at Carleton Place Lofts featuring graphic novel-esque art and monster plushies by Tim Monsters, Buttermilk and Tiffokne. -Jahna Peloquin (Pictured: Painting by Kara Hendershot)

Friday: Guild Monthly + Stephanie Lake Trunk Show
What:
St. Louis Park boutique Guild Collective is kicking off this October in style. This Saturday, Stephanie Lake will be hosting her fall jewelry trunk show, with pieces both eclectic and classically timeless; decorated Minneapolis stylist Gwen Leeds will be offering personal styling sessions; and Organic Divas will be offering ultra-healthy makeovers. Saturday: Macy's Fashion Challenge with Nick Verreos
What:
Project Runway season two favorite Nick Verreos will be will be hosting a Macy’s Fashion Challenge at Macy's Southdale location. Watch as "Uncle Nick" creates sample looks for your dream job, TV show auditions and more. He will also be giving out some super savvy style tips and help showcase the best looks for the fall season on a mini Macy’s runway. Plus, he will be hand-picking people from the audience to style on stage with him! The audience member who compiles the best look will receive a $100 gift card to spend on their favorite fall fashions at Macy's. -Lauren Gantner

Beginning Sunday: National Spa Week
What:
It's back! National Spa Week kicks off on Sunday for a week of cheap beauty buys. That includes $50 services for everything from waxing to haircuts to massage at a number of local participating salons and spas. Local spas participating include Zhen Reflections Spa & Salon, reVamp! Salonspa, New Reflections Spa Salon, and NEVA Massage Center.

LEN Clearance Pop-Up Shop
What:
The Twin Cities' lastest in a pop-up shop trend is opening this weekend at Southdale. Similar to Len Druskin's recent clearance pop-up sale, you can shop end-of-season markdowns and final reductions consolidated from both Len Druskin Outlet at Southdale and LEN at City Center (the latter a womenswear-focused off-shoot) at prices of 75 to 90 percent off daily - while supplies last.
