To relax, or not to relax...

To relax, or not to relax...

That is the question.

I don't mean outside with an ice cold pint of Kopparberg - that's gonna happen either way - I mean my unruly, frizz bomb hair.

[[ Keep in mind - I have a mohawk. This is less than 1/3 of the hair I have! ]]

For as long as I can remember I've envied those with lovely, smooth hair. My friends would complain about the tiniest, most pathetic amount of frizz or call the almost undetectable wave in their hair an 'annoying curl' and I'd feel like punching them. They could wear their hair down, style it how they liked and spend 2 minutes ironing out any kinks. I'd scrape mine back into a bun and pretend it didn't exist.

I hate how frizzy it is (no high street/ salon anti-frizz serums/ shampoos have ever worked), I hate how it is CONSTANTLY dry - no matter what and I hate how I can't style it because my hair is too strong to hold anything more than a pomp, bun or pony tail.

Relaxing it may well be the answer to my problems - then again, it might just make them even worse. I've read all of the pros and cons lists and I know the science behind it (I'm actually a qualified hair stylist!) but I'm still half and half. It's a 50/ 50 outcome.

[[ Extensions, which as you can see don't match the texture of my frizztastic hair ]]

THAT is how I want my hair :( Lovely and long and straight and smooth. You know the annoying thing? My sister has beautifully long, straight, smooth hair. Genes, eh? Aren't they a bitch.
